昨年は、前年に引き続いて新型コロナウイルス感染症の流行、ウクライナ情勢、円安、物価やエネルギーの高騰、まさに私たちの生活に直結するような、時代の読めない不安が増すような先行きを感じた一年になりました。
私たちの社会や経済活動に大きなダメージを与えている一方で、多様な変化を生み出し、新しいビジネスや新しい社会への在り方も誕生しています。

Happy new year.
Last year was a tough year due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus infection, following the previous year. There are concerns about new threats such as the spread of infection by new mutant strains, but I feel that the development of vaccines and therapeutic agents is gradually improving. 10月31日(日)でイギリスはサマータイムが終了して11月1日(月)からグリニッジ標準時間に変わります。
これまでより１時間遅くなるので、日本との時差は９時間になります。
イギリスがお昼の12時の場合は日本は同日の夜の９時になります。
With the end of this year’s summer time, the time difference between the UK and Japan will be 9 hours. The morning comes earlier in Japan, so if Japan is 9 pm, the UK will be 12 pm. Be aware of the time difference when you call us. The cold season has arrived in both the UK and Japan, but please be careful and stay healthy so that you don’t get a cold. -

10月1日(金)より当社内の企画開発部にスイーツ研究室を発足させました。同日より企画、研究を行い11月1日(月)より販売を開始します。
Starting today, we have set up a sweets laboratory at our head office. Sweets will be on sale from 1st November. We will soon sell Japanese specialty sweets to London. I will not disappoint you. You guys are looking forward to that. -

At a press conference with Prime Minister Johnson on 19th, Dec. it was decided that Tier 4 would be the hierarchy for restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in southeast England. To that end, our London office will work from home indefinitely. However, work at the construction site will continue unless the government or customers are ordered to stop. If you would like to contact us, please leave a message with the telephone staff at the office or contact us by e-mail. The New Year is coming soon, but everyone should be careful about their health.
12月19日のジョンソン首相の会見により、イングランド南東部におけるCOVID-19の感染拡大防止のための制限に関する階層がTier4とすることが決定しました。
そのためにロンドン事務所は無期限の在宅勤務となります。ただし、建設現場における作業は行政や発注者の停止等の命令がない限り続行します。私たちに連絡する場合は事務所の電話スタッフに伝言を預けるか、e-mailにて連絡を下さい。もうすぐ新年になりますが、皆さんは自分の健康には十分に気をつけてください。 -

コロナウイルス感染拡大防止のため、11月5日（木）から12月2日（水）までの期間、イングランド全土での外出制限であるロックダウンに英国政府は踏み切りました。
生活必需品を扱う店以外は閉鎖され、飲食店は持ち帰り以外の営業ができなくなり、世帯間の交流も原則禁止となりました。ただ、春の第１波時のロックダウンと異なり、学校など教育施設の運営は続けられています。
弊社のロンドン営業所はロックダウンの間、一時閉鎖となります。ロックダウン解除後は通常通りの営業となります。

In the UK, a three week curfew was requested on the evening of March 23, and our office was temporarily closed. Our office will be closed for a minimum of 21 days. Depending on the circumstances, the closing period may be longer. I hope the virus epidemic will settle down soon. I pray for the happiness of everyone who died from the COVID-19 infection. We pray for the affected people to recover as soon as possible.
イギリスでは3月23日の夜に3週間の外出禁止要請が出て、シティ地区にある弊社のオフィスは一時閉鎖することになりました。閉鎖する期間は最低21日間となります。状況の変化次第では閉鎖期間が長くなる場合もあります。
